Calming the Body, Mind, Spirit

In our modern world, there are many reasons for you to feel stressed, anxious, overwhelmed and a host of other emotions. How can you deal with the sense of overwhelm, especially during the holidays when there is even more stress? How do you quell the need to run and hide in a cave hoping that when you dare to come out it will all have settled down?

The triangle of body, mind, and spirit relies on all legs of the triangle being equal and stable. Any leg that is overwhelmed, unstable, or overloaded will disrupt the balance of the triangle, ie. your body, mind, and spirit. The need to find peace and happiness within yourself is even more important in the quest to keep yourself balanced. To help yourself to connect to the peace within, try these holiday (and everyday) stress busters:

1. Go Ahead and Do It…shut off your cell phone, lap top, email, and all other electronic toys! Start with 5 minutes (if you are truly enslaved to it) and work yourself up to one hour all at once.

2. Go to a quiet place (the bathroom, bedroom, garden, park, outdoors, etc) and give yourself 3 minutes to take long, deep breathes.

3. Use Theta Binaural Music for 15 minutes for full body relaxation, refreshing sleep, healing, releasing stress, and deeper meditation. Click on the link below for Theta binaural music choices:
